Trip to Chester

On Tuesday 11th October Year 3 visited the old Roman stronghold of Chester ( Dewa) as part of their topic on the Romans.

In the morning they were trained to be Roman soldiers, how to march and some Roman battle formations. In the afternoon they had a tour of the museum and visited the ‘hands–on’ room where the children tried on some Roman armour and played some Roman games.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and a very good end to our topic.
