Entry requirementsPrior to entering Runnymede St Edward's School at Nursery level, potential pupils are assessed by our Early Years staff, in order to establish whether the individual child is developmentally ready for Nursery education. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend this assessment and, if successful, the child will enter the school through the Nursery. Here they will spend their first year and reach their fourth birthday. Pupils are admitted to other age groups within the school as and when vacancies occur. Entry is as a result of a day assessment carried out by the appropriate staff, combined with a report received from the child's current Headteacher. Pupils are encouraged to recognise their own abilities and to appreciate those of others. They are also urged to pursue goals which will lead to the achievement of high standards in all aspects of school life. The Headteacher of Runnymede St Edward's School is a member of the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools and a member of the Catholic Independent Schools Conference. The Headteacher is assisted by a team of dedicated professional staff who are committed to the education and development of the children in their care, ensuring the continued success of the school. |
