Much of the information in our brochure Prospectus is now available within these pages: The History of Runnymede, stretching back to 1852 has been described elsewhere on our web. Within these pages you will find information detailing the Christian Environment that your child will enjoy. The basic Entry Requirements for admission either to Nursery or to later years is provided. Much emphasis is placed in Runnymede on the Pastoral Care and Standards of Discipline that you will find prevalent in school. In addition the role of Parental Support is emphasised. The status that Runnymede enjoys as the choir school to Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral is a source of great pride to the school, and an idea of the dedication of our young choristers is provided. Sports and cultural activities play in important part of life at Runnymede, and our prospectus details the Extra Curricular activities available to pupils. Should parents wish to make use of our Pre-school and After-school facilities, arrangements for our Out of Hours Kids' Club are included elsewhere on our website. Runnymede St Edward's School prepares its pupils for selective and non-selective secondary education, giving them a good grounding in all areas for life ahead. Parents are encouraged to apply to a number of secondary schools and are fully supported by the school during this transition process. The pupils are consistently offered places at a variety of Merseyside's schools including The Blue Coat School, Belvedere, Liverpool College, St Edward's College, Merchant Taylors Boys, Merchant Taylors Girls and St Mary's College. Full details of last summer's Secondary Transfer are available. Finally a fully copy of The School Curriculum as detailed in the Prospectus is provided for your information. |
