Year 2

Welcome to Year 2

The Year 2 curriculum is a lively mix of formal subjects and creative experience. We seek to develop the
knowledge and potential of each child. Below is a small sample of the exciting activities we have
enjoyed.

Design Technology

Year Two had so much fun designing and making Puppets. Some children chose an
animal theme, linked to the Science topic of ‘Variation’.

 

 

History and PHSE & C

We created a link between Florence Nightingale and the modern day Paramedic. We explored an Ambulance and some of us were treated as casualties.

 

 

Religous Education

We have been celebrating the topic of ‘Treasures’. We have discussed our special treasures
and why they are so special to us. We have celebrated the treasures of the world and thanked
God for all the wonders he has created.

 

 

Science Variation

As part of our Variation topic we looked at how to care for pets. Mrs Robinson brought her dog, Roxi in to visit us. She showed us all the things that Roxi needs to be safe and healthy. We even took her for a little walk around our playground.
